Cohen & Grigsby Appoints Kate Dewey to Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Organizations Practice
As senior advisor, Ms. Dewey will play an integral role in Cohen & Grigsby’s Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Organizations practice serving nonprofits of all sizes with an integrated platform of informed, progressive corporate legal services and strategic counseling.
“I have worked with Cohen & Grigsby for more than a decade and have great respect for the firm, their culture and their clients,” said Ms. Dewey. “I am honored to be a part of this team serving the nonprofit sector.”
“We are looking forward to Kate bringing her industry knowledge and passion to our existing clients and to lead the development of a strategic plan that complements the legal work that the firm has been handling for decades,” said Jack Elliott, chairman, Cohen & Grigsby.
Ms. Dewey has served the nonprofit industry for her entire career and was named the 2017 Pittsburgh Business Times Innovation Award’s Career Achievement winner. “Kate has had a profound impact on the region and the nonprofit sector, some of which we will be benefiting from for many years. We welcome her enthusiasm and innovative spirit,” said Christopher Carson, president and CEO, Cohen & Grigsby.
Ms. Dewey was a 2014 finalist for the Chase Manhattan Bank Smart Business Award, a 2008 winner of the ATHENA Award in Pittsburgh, and the 1999 recipient of the Greater Pittsburgh YWCA’s Tribute to Women award.
